Children's Ministry
We welcome all children and young people from all kinds of families to worship here at St Paul’s.
With a small but lively children’s ministry stretching from toddlers to teens, we aim to provide an extended church family, offering intergenerational friendship and support to both our kids and their parents.
On Sundays, your children will have the choice to stay with you in the service and do some colouring or join us up in the hall for part of the service for a dedicated children’s activity. Children can also choose to serve on the altar or join the readers’ roster.
Beyond church, we meet regularly for meals, special occasions and camps.
Your children’s safety and well being is the most important priority for all of us at St Paul’s. All volunteers working with children or holding any important paid and voluntary roles within our community have attended Church Safe training and hold a current Working With Children Check.
Josie's Baptism - 21 November 2021
On Sunday 21st November, the Feast of Christ the King, we were delighted to formally welcome Josie as a baptised member of St Paul’s.
It was a stunning open air service down at South Beach and Rev Gemma’s first taste of baptism Westralian style, a full on dunking in the Indian Ocean! Luckily, Rev Gemma wasn’t phased by blessing an entire ocean to become Josie’s holy water of baptism. And Josie’s godmum Bethan threw herself into the action too, helping Gemma to push Josie under.
What a joy to see so many of our wonderful community, from our elders to our very youngest member, celebrating on the beach with a fabulous service, swim and breakfast.
And there were more friends waiting to encourage Josie in this important milestone on her faith journey during the Morning Mass. Of course, we had to cap off our celebrations with gifts, champagne and cake at morning tea!
If you would like to find out more about a baptism at St Paul’s – whether in the ocean or in our beautiful stone font! – please email: parish.stpauls@gmail.com.
