Spiritual Practice

Sunday Worship - 9.15am

Everyone is very welcome to join us.

Gemma Baseley - Priest-in-Charge

Our main service is based mainly on the Australian Anglican Prayer Book. The minister wears long robes, there are candles and our wonderful choir leads the congregation in the hymns. We share the eucharist at every Sunday service.

Everyone who wishes can join us in receiving communion (just now because of Covid-19 that is only the bread, not the wine). Gluten free wafers are available to those who wish for that option.  We have a progressive theology that embraces more than the traditional church and in our sermons we reflect, seek and explore, rather than teach. We seek the Divine embrace and seek to embrace all with the same.

Immediately after the service everyone is also welcome to join the dance for healing and peace, The Elm Dance.

After the service you atre welcome to join members of the congregation in the church hall for refreshments, conversation and notices.

Morning and Evening Prayer

6:30am and 6:30pm

You are welcome to join the small group who meet in the chapel behind the main church for Morning and Evening Prayer.

The services are as per the Australian Anglican Prayer Book (and the ePray Daily app). We sit on cushions on prayer mats on the floor or on chairs, and we have a period of silent prayer for the intercessions.

With the rising and setting of the sun, these services “bookend” our days.

Heartsong

7:30pm, Second Sunday of the Month

Feel welcome to come to our quiet service which is held from 7.30pm on the second Sunday of the month. It is a meditative hour with candlelight, chanting, and wisdom words embraced by silence. NOTE: There will be no Heart Song service in September. Next Heart Song is 10th October at 7.15pm in the Chapel
Sacred Chant, Readings and Silence

Contemplative Morning

Thursday Mornings, Fortnightly

These one and a half hour sessions are oriented towards inner experience, contemplation, mindfulness and deep listening. Typically, we allow time for extended silences, guided meditation, reflective prayer, selected words from various teachers and mystics, group sharing, and body prayers.
